Hyderabad, September 3: Democratic Journalists Union (DJU) has formed Telangana State Ad Hoc Committee. Union founding president Balla Radhakrishna, founding member Maridu Prasadababu jointly appointed the members of the committee.
Dr. Barigela Siva of Jai Bheem TV was appointed as the convener. Journalist circles have appreciated that he has been given this responsibility for constantly responding to public issues in the field of journalism and bringing social issues to light.
Uriti Himabindu (I News), Kota Kalpana (Indian Republic TV), *M.S. Ananda Rao (6 TV)*, V. Jyoti Basu (Raj News), Vannala Venu (Zee TV), D.R.K. Raju (Sakshi), Vijay Sadhu (Dial News) and Stalin Marlapati (Nationalist Hubla) were appointed.Union leaders said that the ad hoc committee needs to focus on the issues faced by journalists in Telangana, protection of their rights, welfare and promotion of small and independent media organizations.
He said that the main objective of the ad hoc committee is to strengthen the unity of journalists, fight for professional rights and welfare. Journalist sources are of the view that through this appointment, DJU is taking steps towards expanding its activities in Telangana
