Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan inaugurated the Maisamma pond, walking track, open air gym and children's park, which was beautified at a cost of Rs 73 lakh, at Fakirpalem village in Pithapuram constituency. He said that the ponds are being developed with the aim of making them not just water sources but social platforms that provide health and enjoyment to the people.
He also unveiled plaques for 11 more beautified ponds in the constituency. Facilities like pond embankment strengthening, greenery, walking track, children's park were inspected.The magazine article stated that more than half of the 105 ponds undertaken across the state in collaboration with the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Singhai Yojana have been completed and the remaining works are targeted to be made available to the public by the end of the month.
