Mumbai: Domestic stock markets ended with marginal gains on Thursday. The indices, which had been subject to some fluctuations since morning, finally settled with limited gains.
The BSE Sensex ended up 0.19 percent at 81,138.36. The index touched 74,902.59 level intraday, said a market report on the page. The NSE Nifty also gained 0.20 percent to settle at 24,737.80.
Among the major indices in Nifty, the movements of Bank Nifty, Auto, Pharma and other sectors had an impact on the market trend. While buying support was found in some shares, selling pressure was seen in other sectors.
