TCS subsidiary HyperVault has announced that it will set up India's largest AI data center campus in Hyderabad. A memorandum of understanding was signed with the state government.

A delegation of TCS met with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at the Secretariat. IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridharbabu, Ministers N. Uttamkumar Reddy, Komati Reddy Venkat Reddy and Adluri Laxman Kumar participated.

TCS CEO K. Krithivasan, COO Arthi Subramanian, HyperVault President V. Rajanna and CEO Dipesh Nanda participated. Open AI CTO Uday Rudraraj also participated through video conference from America.

Government Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, Advisor K. Ramakrishna Rao, Invest Telangana CEO B. Ajith Reddy, TGIIC MD K.Shashanka, Industries Department Special Secretary Krishnaditya, Director of Industries Nikhil Chakraborty and others were present.

This state-of-the-art AI data center campus with a capacity of 1 gigawatt will be developed in Hyderabad on an area of ​​over 250 acres. Hyper Vault and partner companies will invest Rs.70 thousand crores. About 7 thousand jobs will be created directly and indirectly with this project.

The campus will provide the massive computing infrastructure needed by the world's top AI companies, hyperscalers and global enterprises. The center will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology such as high efficiency computing systems and liquid cooling.Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said, "This is a historic project not only for Telangana but also for the country. Hyderabad is emerging as a global leader in the AI ​​revolution."

Appreciating the representatives of TCS, they announced that they will provide all assistance on behalf of the government. "A strong foundation has been laid for the development of Future City. This is a key step towards achieving the goal of a 3 trillion dollar economy as per the Telangana Rising Vision-2047," he said.

This huge investment will create new opportunities in the fields of AI and data centers as well as related fields like power, cooling, networking, construction, engineering and operations.
