Chittoor, progress Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said the GI tag will give Kuppadam silk sarees greater distinction.
He held a face-to-face interaction with weaving families, saying free power and ₹25,000 in financial assistance would bring them relief.
He discussed the distinctiveness of silk sarees, traditional weaving skills and market conditions with them.
