The health department is conducting a special program to reduce the problem of worms in children in Telangana. The report said that 1.12 crore children will be given deworming tablets on September 25 on the occasion of National Deworming Day.
Minister Satyakumar Yadav unveiled a campaign poster to create awareness about the programme. Arrangements are being made to reach eligible children through schools and Anganwadi centers.
Deworming is crucial in improving the health and nutritional status of children, officials said. Parents and teachers are requested to cooperate.
