The central government is all set to control huge margins on cancer drugs. A margin limit of 30 percent will be applicable for all branded, generic and imported drugs, it said. The government has accelerated this corrective action in the wake of the Supreme Court's recent concern over the skyrocketing prices of cancer drugs.

The central government has taken a very important decision to reduce the financial burden on cancer patients. It has decided to cap the trade margin on all non-price controlled cancer drugs at 30 percent.
