Visa renewal appointments have been postponed till June next year due to the tightening of US rules to make social media profiles of candidates mandatory to be checked as part of the H-1B visa policy. Due to this, Indians who come to their own country and are waiting for visa stamping are facing extreme uncertainty. In order to give relief to its employees, Amazon has given an opportunity to work from home till March 2.
However, Amazon has imposed some strict rules on employees while working from India. In particular, it clarified that key activities such as negotiating with clients, doing new coding, taking key strategic decisions, and code testing could not be undertaken.Besides, they have issued clear guidelines not to attend Amazon local offices here while they are in India.
